Galatians
Galatians has 6 chapters. Read Galatians in the New American Standard Bible 2020, chapter by chapter, free and without an account.
Galatians is Paul’s urgent response to pressure on Gentile believers to accept circumcision and obligations of the law. He defends his gospel and argues that belonging to Christ and receiving the promise rest on faith rather than works of the law. Freedom leads into service: believers are called to walk by the Spirit, love their neighbors, and carry one another’s burdens.
Galatians is one of Paul's letters of the New Testament, the same 27 books in every Christian Bible. See it on the shelf.
Galatians 1 defends the divine origin of Paul’s gospel and recounts his calling and early ministry.
Galatians 2 recounts Paul’s Jerusalem meeting, his confrontation with Peter, and justification by faith.
Galatians 3 connects faith, Abraham’s promise, the law’s role, and the unity of those in Christ.
Galatians 4 describes adoption as heirs, Paul’s pastoral appeal, and the contrast between slavery and promise.
Galatians 5 calls believers to freedom expressed through love and a life bearing the Spirit’s fruit.
Galatians 6 teaches gentle restoration, shared burdens, persevering goodness, and new creation.
