Susanna
King James Version + Apocrypha
Susanna has 1 chapter. Read Susanna in the King James Version + Apocrypha, chapter by chapter, free and without an account.
Susanna tells of a faithful woman threatened by two elders who demand sexual compliance and then falsely accuse her when she refuses. The assembly condemns her, but she appeals to God. Daniel challenges the verdict, questions the witnesses separately, and exposes their contradictory testimony. Susanna is vindicated, and her accusers receive judgment.
Susanna is one of the Greek additions to Daniel found in the Septuagint, read as part of Daniel in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles. Protestant Bibles print it in the Apocrypha or leave it out, and it is not in the Jewish Tanakh. See it on the shelf.
