Micah has 7 chapters. Read Micah in the New International Version, chapter by chapter, free and without an account.
Micah condemns injustice in Samaria and Jerusalem, including seized land, corrupt leadership, and worship used to justify false security. Warnings of destruction alternate with visions of restoration, peace, and faithful rule. The book calls for justice, mercy, and humility, then closes with trust in God’s compassion and faithfulness despite the community’s failure.
In Christian Bibles, Micah is one of the twelve Minor Prophets of the Old Testament. In the Jewish Tanakh it belongs to the Nevi’im, the Prophets, as part of the Twelve. See it on the shelf.

Micah 1: judgment falls on idolatrous Samaria and reaches Jerusalem, sending lament and exile through Judah's towns.

Micah 2: powerful people seize family lands and reject warning, yet God promises to gather the scattered remnant under a true leader.

Micah 3: corrupt rulers, priests, and prophets profit from injustice, while Micah announces that their falsely secure Zion will fall.

Micah 4: nations seek instruction at Zion, weapons become farm tools, the vulnerable are gathered, and exile gives way to rescue.

Micah 5: a ruler from little Bethlehem shepherds securely and brings peace as the remnant is strengthened and false trusts removed.

Micah 6: remembered deliverance calls for justice, steadfast love, and humble walking, while dishonest wealth brings ruin.

Micah 7: amid corruption and mistrust, Micah waits for light and celebrates shepherding care, pardon, compassion, and faithfulness.
